WPA Chair’s Welcome Message

I am delighted to welcome WPA members and guests to our 2025 Annual Dinner at The Londoner.

Our flagship Dinner is a welcome opportunity to take stock with our peers and colleagues and celebrate the West End and its built environment in what has already been an eventful year. Here, we are reminded of the things that make the West End so special; its vibrancy, world-class hotels, good food, great company and, not least, best-in-class workplaces.

I’m delighted that we have the TV personality and renowned lexicographer and etymologist, Susie Dent, as our guest speaker. Susie will be exploring the origins of some of our industry’s favourite terms and linguistic quirks, walking us through the use of the words and phrases we use every day to communicate with our colleagues, customers and stakeholders.

WPA is once again teaming up with LandAid as our charity partner for this year’s event. LandAid is leading the charge against youth homelessness, bringing together businesses and individuals across our industry to deliver life changing services. In the last four years alone, the charity has raised over £14m, helping more than 4,000 young people, but there is more to do, so please give generously.
