Environmental Impact

The WPA has consciously reduced the environmental impact of this event by working in partnership with Snook Events and The Londoner, both of which recognise the importance of sustainable practices.

The Londoner Hotel (part of the Edwardian Group) has been rated ‘Excellent’ by BREEAM. The building uses innovative technologies to create efficiencies in energy, water and waste management. This includes a temperature‑monitoring system across the hotel’s six eateries, bars and event catering areas, helping to reduce energy use for food storage whilst keeping everything as fresh as possible.

In addition, tonight’s menu is sourced from responsible, local UK suppliers. The flowers on your tables will be donated to The Confetti Club, which will repurpose them into confetti, with all proceeds going to cancer research. A digital event brochure helps to minimise our use of paper, and a recycled production set is being used to avoid unnecessary waste going to landfill.
