Environmental Impact

The WPA has consciously reduced the environmental impact of this event by working in partnership with an event company and venue that also recognises the importance of sustainable practices.

The Londoner Hotel (part of the Edwardian Group) has been rated “Excellent” by BREEAM. The building uses innovative technologies to create efficiencies in energy, water and waste management.  This includes a temperature monitoring system across the hotel’s six eateries, bars and event catering to reduce energy for food storage whilst keeping everything as fresh as possible.

In addition, tonight’s menu is sourced from responsible local UK suppliers.  The flowers on your tables will be donated to The Confetti Club which will repurpose them into confetti, with all proceeds going to cancer research. A digital event brochure minimises our use of paper and a recycled production set is being utilised to avoid unnecessary waste in landfill.
