DAN SNOW MBE
GUEST SPEAKER

Historian and broadcaster Dan Snow is best known for his captivating documentaries, one of the most famous being the discovery of Ernest Shackleton’s ship, Endurance, two miles under the Antarctic in 2022 – 107 years after it sank in the Weddell Sea.

Born in Westminster, he is married to Lady Edwina Grosvenor, the sister of the current Duke of Westminster, whose father co-founded the WPA in 1988. Dan shares our passion for this fantastic city and will be discussing lessons of change and adaptation from London’s incredible history, particularly Westminster’s role over the ages.

He is an ambassador for the Electoral Reform Society and former President of the Council for British Archaeology.

He is also the founder and creative director of History Hit TV, an on-demand history channel that’s been described by the Wall Street Journal as the ‘Netflix for History’. Alongside his extraordinary television career, his podcast History Hit is the world’s most popular of the genre.

As well as history, Dan has covered many live events, often with a military link, including Trooping the Colour, commemorations of the Falklands conflict, and a raft of current affairs programmes. He also launched the first handheld video guides to London and is the author of a number of books including On This Day in History.
